Coronavirus Practice Update
Posted on Friday, 3rd Apr 2020
The impetus is to keep you and I safe and reduce everyone's chance of spreading Coronavirus, therefore all counselling and psychotherapy sessions are now scheduled via face time, Skype, zoom, chat room and/or telephone until further notice.
For those that are new to counselling and don’t know me, I am a highly skilled practitioner and have been providing Face Time, Skype, Zoom, chat room and/or telephone counselling and psychotherapy sessions for clients for many years, Most of my work is around promoting early intervention and facilitating easier access to mental health and wellbeing services, working online is particularly good for this as it can feel less daunting for the individual to access therapy in the first place.
For those of you that still feel a little anxious about the idea of using online methods for counselling, please be reassured. I offer a free 20 minute consultation to all new clients which means you can test it out before committing, to see how it might work for you.
You may surprise yourself, many clients actually prefer to see me online for their sessions, as it’s more convenient & can help reduce additional anxiety. Being in your own home can often feel more comfortable than in my clinical therapy room, and here’s the science bit, the effectiveness of therapy is still the same regardless of whether we are in the same room together or using a virtual one, it’s the relationship that's key to your therapy being effective.
Stay Home, Stay Safe, Stay Connected, Stay Well.
